Pets are living longer. Families are changing. The population is aging. Companion animals have become integral members of the family, yet the systems surrounding healthcare, estate planning, senior living, hospitality, emergency preparedness, and countless other industries have struggled to keep pace.
For many older adults, a pet is not simply part of the household. They may be a person’s closest companion, emotional anchor, daily routine, and reason to keep moving forward. Yet as health needs change, families often discover that traditional senior-care and pet-care systems were never designed to work together. Medical appointments, hospitalization, mobility limitations, cognitive decline, relocation, and transitions into assisted living can quickly place both the person and the animal at risk.
Glass Dog Agency exists to close that gap.
We work alongside families, in-home care providers, senior-living communities, trust officers, and other professionals to help older adults remain safely connected to their pets through every stage of aging. Our approach combines compassionate pet-care coordination, long-term planning, behavioral and medical support, emergency preparedness, and continuity-of-care solutions.
Our goal is not only to keep pets with their people for as long as it is safe and beneficial. We also help prepare each animal for an uncertain future, building the resilience, care structure, and documented plan needed to support a successful transition if the pet ultimately outlives their human companion. We believe exceptional pet care is no longer just about feeding, walking, or boarding animals. It is about creating thoughtful systems that allow people and pets to thrive together through every stage of life.

Meet Maggie — Our Founder & CEO
Some people find a career in pet care. Maggie Christina has spent her life helping shape it.
Her journey began in fifth grade, partnering with a local pet store to develop educational programs that brought live animals into classrooms throughout her school district. Students learned through hands-on experiences with hamsters, guinea pigs, iguanas, and specially bred pet rats selected for therapeutic classroom settings as schools were beginning to better support children with autism and other developmental differences.
By seventh grade, Maggie made the unconventional decision to homeschool herself so she could focus on building animal care businesses. By 2002, while living in Portland, Oregon, she was already helping develop business models for one of the pet industry’s newest—and at the time, most criticized—concepts: dog daycare.
“Who would ever send their dog to daycare?” was a common response.
Today, it is a multi-billion-dollar industry.
For more than two decades, Maggie has worked behind the scenes helping modernize pet care businesses, expand service models, and identify opportunities long before they became mainstream. Her career has consistently centered on recognizing where the relationship between people and their pets is headed—and helping both families and professionals prepare for what comes next.
Just as importantly, Maggie has built an extraordinary network of leading veterinarians, canine behavior specialists, neuroscientists, legal professionals, healthcare experts, and innovators from around the world. That collective expertise allows Glass Dog clients to benefit from perspectives and solutions that extend far beyond those of any single individual.
Meet Maeren — Circus Manager (aka Office Coordinator)
Maeren has loved animals for as long as she can remember, eventually turning that lifelong connection into hands-on experience within the veterinary world as a veterinary technician. That background gives her a practical understanding of animal health, behavior, safety, and the level of detail required when families are trusting someone with a beloved pet.
At Glass Dog Agency, Maeren serves as our resident jack of all trades—and, depending on the day, the person helping keep the circus moving in roughly the same direction. She supports the countless administrative, client-care, scheduling, organizational, creative, and behind-the-scenes details required to turn ambitious ideas into services that actually work in the real world.
Her role frequently places her at the intersection of people, pets, plans, paperwork, and whatever unexpected situation has appeared before lunch. Maeren brings steadiness, compassion, humor, and a willingness to jump into nearly anything the agency needs. Whether she is coordinating information, helping manage client logistics, supporting the development of a new program, or making sure an important detail does not disappear into the chaos, she is an essential part of the structure behind Glass Dog Agency.
Her combination of veterinary experience, lifelong devotion to animals, and rare ability to wear approximately seventeen hats at once makes her uniquely suited to a company built around solving complicated problems for pets and the people who love them.
Meet Trish — Office & Vendor Relations Coordinator
Trish brings a people-first perspective to Glass Dog Agency, shaped by years of experience in the food and beverage industry and within continuing care retirement communities. Her background has taught her how to communicate with a wide range of people, manage competing priorities, solve problems in real time, and remain composed when the day refuses to follow the plan.
As Glass Dog’s Office & Vendor Relations Coordinator, Trish helps keep the agency connected, organized, and moving forward. She supports office operations, coordinates with vendors and community partners, assists with outreach, and helps ensure that the people and organizations working alongside Glass Dog have the information and support they need. Her role requires equal parts persistence, flexibility, resourcefulness, and a good sense of humor.
Trish’s experience in senior-living environments also gives her a meaningful understanding of the people Glass Dog serves and the realities families face as care needs change. Combined with her lifelong love of animals, this makes her a natural fit for an agency working at the intersection of pets, aging, caregiving, and community support.
Outside of work, Trish is a devoted mother to her young son and shares her own home with animals. She understands firsthand that pets are not simply part of a household—they are part of the family, the routine, and often the chaos. That practical, personal perspective helps her bring warmth, authenticity, and genuine care to everything she does at Glass Dog Agency.
If you don’t find Trish in the office, she’s out back befriending the murder of crows with peanuts and shiny things.
